Acetal C (POM C) and Delrin (POM H) are available in standard stock shapes for machining and is extruded in sheet, rod and tube. Acetal is a semi-crystalline engineering thermoplastic with high mechanical strength and rigidity.
Acetal polymers retain excellent mechanical properties including good sliding characteristics and excellent wear resistance, as well as low moisture absorption. The good dimensional stability and particularly good fatigue strength, as well as excellent machining ability, makes acetal polymers a highly versatile engineering material, even for complex components.
Delrin is a semi-crystalline, thermoplastic with product characteristics including excellent dimensional stability, low moisture absorption and high wear resistance. This product offers slightly higher tensile and impact strength in comparison to acetal rod.
