Our Glass Fibre Tubes are pultruded using a high volume fraction of fibreglass in a polyester matrix to BS EN 13706 specifications. Tubes with diameters up to 32mm are unidirectional glass fibre tubes with a smooth surface that are designed to provide excellent resistance to bending. For diameters over 32mm the fibreglass layup is a combination of multi-layered cross-ply fabrics, providing a greater hoop strength that is resistant to both bending and torsional forces.
Glass Fibre Tubes offer numerous benefits including a lightweight construction and a high strength-to-weight ratio that ensures reliable performance even under heavy loads. Their versatility and ease of handling make them a practical, cost effective choice for a wide range of structural applications while their resistance to corrosion make them an ideal choice for use in demanding environments. They can be easily machined and cut to size, allowing for easy customization to meet the unique requirements of your project.
Offering high performance and durability combined with ease of handling and installation, Glass Fibre Tubes are an ideal solution for a wide range of applications. Please ask the Plastock team for more information on our products and how we can help you achieve your project goals.
