Acetal C 25% Glass Filled Rod offers increased strength for many applications when compared to non-reinforced Acetal C. In addition, the glass fibre reinforcement reduces the coefficient of expansion while increasing the heat deflection temperature. By compounding the glass fibres some properties have been optimised to the level of metallic materials. Other properties include:

  • High rigidity (to -40 °C)
  • High thermal stability
  • High dimension stability
  • Low water absorption
  • Good electrical insulating properties
  • High strength and stiffness
  • Very good sliding properties
  • High resistance to solvents
  • Very high resistance to stress cracks
